On the morning of August 14, 2024, Vedan Vietnam Company organized a humanitarian blood donation program called “One drop of blood – Million hearts”. This is an annual program of Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City and the Red Cross Society of Long Thanh District.
The humanitarian blood donation program “One drop of blood – Million hearts” in 2024 attracted 235 employees to register to participate. Through this activity, it can be seen that the staff at Vedan Vietnam is always interested in meaningful programs that bring positive values to society.
At the blood donation event, Mr. Ko Chung Chih (Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam) said: …With the motto “Nurturing a healthy life – sharing love”, Vedan always values and actively promotes activities to contribute to society. This is an annual activity with the desire to spread love, share precious “red blood drops”, thereby joining hands to improve the health of the community. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the company, Mr. Ko Chung Chih also expressed his gratitude to the Trade Union Executive Committee and the team of volunteers, especially the enthusiastic support of the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Association, the Long Thanh District Red Cross Association and the doctors and nurses of Cho Ray Hospital.
Responding to this meaningful activity of Vedan, a number of volunteers from the Tacera Company Union and Phuoc Thai Commune also registered to participate. After the process of checking and screening, this year’s humanitarian blood donation program “One drop of blood – Million hearts” donated 232 units of blood (of which Vedan achieved 182 units) to serve the emergency and treatment work to save people. The amount of blood donated by the program contributed to providing more blood to the blood bank before the National Day on September 2, a period when there is often a shortage of blood to provide to those who really need it. The program “One drop of blood – Million hearts” is not only a very meaningful annual activity of Vedan Vietnam but also a bridge of love, helping the company spread the message of “Love and Care” and humane values to the community.
