On the morning of May 8, at the Golden Lotus Conference Center in Bien Hoa City, Vedan Vietnam Company participated in the Launching Ceremony of “Humanitarian Month 2024” with the theme “Humanitarian Journey – Giving and Receiving Love” organized by the Red Cross Society (RC) of Dong Nai province.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy – Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs of Vedan Vietnam accompanied the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Association to attend the Mass Mobilization Ceremony and give gifts to people in difficult circumstances.
With profound humanitarian meaning, “Humanitarian Month – May 2024” is a program in a series of activities to celebrate the 161st anniversary of the founding of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Society (May 8), the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024), and at the same time, towards the 134th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh – the founder and first honorary president of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2024).
Humanitarian Month opens up opportunities for thousands of people in difficulty to receive practical support from the Red Cross Society, along with the joint efforts of philanthropists.
At the ceremony, Vedan Vietnam Company registered to sponsor 100 million VND to build 2 charity houses, and presented two hundred gifts in the form of zero-VND humanitarian market stalls to the blind, the Association of revolutionary soldiers imprisoned by the enemy, the Association supporting families of martyrs, disabled children, and people in the area with many difficult circumstances. This action demonstrates the companionship of Vedan Vietnam with the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society in the mission of expressing gratitude to those who contributed to the cause of national liberation and caring for and supporting the less fortunate, helping them to rise up and stabilize their lives.
Previously, on May 3, Vedan Vietnam also accompanied the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society and Cam My District Red Cross Society to attend the Mass Mobilization Launch Ceremony with the theme “Joining hands to build advanced new rural areas” and presented 250 gifts to the elderly living alone and the poor in difficult circumstances in Long Giao town, Cam My district.
During more than 30 years of development with the motto “Cultivating love, dedicating all”, Vedan Vietnam has also implemented many annual activities with meaningful community-oriented activities such as: organizing charity medical examinations, giving free medicine, building charity houses, granting scholarships, giving Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances… The joint efforts of the whole society and from enterprises like Vedan Vietnam are a great motivation to spread the spirit of solidarity and mutual love. These contributions have helped reduce difficulties in society, bringing a better life to everyone.
