On the occasion of celebrating Vietnam Learning Promotion Day and the week of lifelong learning in 2023. On the morning of September 22, the Dong Nai Provincial Education Promotion Association coordinated with the Dong Nai Provincial Radio and Television Station to organize an award program. The 12th “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties in going to school” scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year. As a sponsor present since the first years, Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company has continued to accompany and donate 150 million VND to the program.
With the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the coordination and contributions of agencies, departments, unions, support of organizations and benefactors throughout the province… School year In 2023-2024, the Provincial Study Promotion Association awarded scholarships to 223 students with disabilities (including 110 middle school students, 76 high school students, 18 vocational college students and 19 university students) with a total amount of 1 billion 100 million VND.
In addition, the association also specially rewarded 22 students with good and excellent achievements in the 2022-2023 school year with a value of 11 million VND.
For students with disabilities, striving to go to school and study well is a process of persistent effort and effort to overcome many health and mental difficulties, a source of encouragement for them. I am the love and support of my family, teachers, friends and social community. This scholarship program is meant to encourage and help children have more joy in going to school, get rid of barriers of inferiority complex, access knowledge, and have more opportunities in future life. There are students with disabilities who have achieved excellent results and are admirable examples of their will to strive and optimism for other students to follow.
Accompanying the Provincial Study Promotion Association since 2013, Vedan Vietnam company has had an 11-year journey participating in the program “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties in going to school”. In addition, the company also joined forces with the Study Promotion Association of districts in Dong Nai province to award scholarships to poor students who are studious during the back-to-school season. Every year the company welcomes many student groups to visit and practice at the factory, supporting job orientation for students. In September, the company also gave 40 million to the scholarship fund for students at Tra Vinh University.
